Default For Sale

Painfull as it is for any of us. I need to sell the 5EXi.
I've had it for sale now for a month. Hardly any interest at all :-(

Priced at £5000 I thought thats a good price but in the current climate it seems no-one is buying cars.

Anybody need a "spares" car...!
Else its going on ebay at £3000 no reserve!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried Marlin to see if they would sell it on a commission basis?. I don't know if they do that sort of thing but would have thought someone visiting their premises would be your sort of target market.

Also what about the kit car sellers, Hallmark, Uxbridge etc, see if they will do a commission sale.

£5000 is cheap, £3000 is giving it away.

Hi John.

I thought you had sold the car.

As JG above, I would try the kit car specialist places.

This guy is local to me and in the CKC.

If I can do anything, let me know.

I'm so tempted. But is still out of my range for a "spares"/ project car.

Hi John,

I know what you mean with regard to sales.

Mine's been up for sale in one form or another for 18mths....only 1 really interested guy...and he ended up keeping his ginetta!!

Boils down to cost, other cars available that are similar (elise), credit crunch and the niche kitcar market.

Lets face it, £6K upwards gets a half decent elise...with all of the lotus pedigree and handling (not to mention a roof, window winders, etc...)

...anyhow, I've decided....I'm keeping mine because there is ABSOLUTELY no way I'm giving it away....cost me too much in blood, sweat and tears!!

After all.....it was the smile factor I built it for.

...if you really can...Keep it!!

Rich
