I think the Tribute kits are the way forward . They might only be "inspired by " replicas like the Kobra , 250 SWB etc but most of the mainstream kits are only that when you look under the skin.
Why would you want a Cobra based around the running gear of an old Cortina or Siearra ? I would rather have one based on a modern car with proven chassis , engine and suspension etc etc. I don't mind if it looks a little different , I want an individual car anyway. I would rather not go through the stress of an IVA test either so the Tribute way is the best.

Its still there Danny - I just checked its at £ 5,700.00 at the moment. It finishes tomorrow at 19.20 - I hope he gets more than this as it must have cost him at least that to get it to that stage.

£5,900! Seems cheap. My kobra will be going up for sale in a few weeks to pay for a new house. My reserve will be a lot higher than that.

Ebay seems to be very strange at the moment , it might be the time of year.
Some of the other items I have been watching fell well short on bids to end very low. I don't think the seller will have even got his money back.
Perhaps listed as a classified ad with best offer would have been better.

Pity about the finished purchase price, I would have thought around 7-8k would have been nearer the mark.

Luck of the draw with ebay , someone got a bargain ! I agree , £7 - £8k would be what you would expect. How many well build and finished Cobra kits do you see sell for under £6k , none .
