does anyone know of a good place to get an ageless plate from without breaking the bank? I know you can get the Irish reg pates for about £50 but they are 3 letters, 4 numbers. I'm idealy looking for 3 letters, 3 numbers or vice versa.

Irish plates are the cheap option. Cheapest next option seem to start at £500 plus

Why would you want an ageless plate. You have a sixties style car, so fit a sixties plate. It's legal to make your car look older, but not newer. My plate is A reg, or 1962. About 235 quid all in. To me it looks better than an ageless plate, more authentic/confusing!!

Yes I think a "3 and a 3" go for 500 to a grand, BUT if that's the icing on the cake!! Bite the bullet and go for it.

You can get a 3 And a 3 for 235 quid!

Try www.reg4vehicles.co.uk. Or something like that.

a 3 and 3 for £236. that site is not the DVLA site where the price you see is the price you pay. £236 +VAT + admit fee + transfer fee? what does that work out at?

i dont mind spending £236 all in to have a dateless plate or even a 60's plaate, just struggling to find 1 at that price...

I can't remember the details exactly....but Mine was that price all in, retained for 12 months. They occasionally list on eBay, starting at 99 quid, which was how I bought mine, then add transfer fee etc and I ended up around the 235 mark.
