Default Tribute tribute

Still no news from Old No.7 / Tribute regards the long awaited 275 convertible project ! I'm tempted to put pen to paper ( get the angle grinder out ! ) and make a start on my own with or without a kit. I've had my Z3 donor for some time, just need to do the transformation, how hard can it be ? I'd do it as a one off , using a mouldless technique.

Not sure if it helps, but there are a few threads below that might help.
( Thankfully, these threads have all survived the great Photobucket swindle. )

Making bucks for both fibreglass and metal body shells.

Using a 1:1 scale paper plan to shape a car.

Note:
This link starts in the middle of the build thread, as this guy’s first car went up in flames, so is ‘Take 2’.

Finally, this is a real ‘Zen and the art of car fibreglass work’ build.

Hope that helps and good luck, Paul.

I would try the 'turn in person with a wad of cash' technique. I don't know specifically about Dan or Tribute but it can be quite effective at removing delays and smoothing progress

Seconded ....The expense and aggro of creating a one -off is far greater than the cost of persuading Old No. 7 to step the project up a notch ..

Knowing how cashflow and incentives work in the world of the small car creators ...if you put some money on the table , equivalent in reality to probably what you need to layout to get started on your own build ....then I am fairly confident they would continue the development of the 275 Convertible ...

If your opening post on this thread was a cry for some action and you genuinely feel the only way you can get your goal , is to do it yourself ...I'd ask them how much deposit gets them motivated again ...seriously ...its going to be cheaper , faster and better in the long run than the balls ache process of building a one-off ......Regularly asking when is it going to happen won't achieve anything ...a deposit will ...

Having spoken to Richard at Nubodi it appears that he has been chasing them ( Chris / Dan ) for months wanting to place orders but they are simply not ready to kit the 275.
