Default Has anyone spoken to the new owner of the EXi brand?

I saw an email from Terry to say the sale of Marlin is complete, the company has split in to 3 and the 5exi part is now a company in its own right, owned by a guy called Tom Sloan (tom-dc5). I wondered if anyone knew him, if he used these forums or had spoken to him over email?

Yo

Hi Mr Spike,
I don't really know anything about this but the whole 5exi business was put on ebay shortly after the announcement from Terry Mathews.

Got told that the selling of the jigs was due to further development of the 5exi model by the new owners. Would have thought they'd have kept the jigs a bit longer in order to create a base from which to work from unless the model is to change drastically. But then, would it still be the same 5exi as we've come to know and love?
Don't know what to think now...
I'm hoping that the new owners will be present at Stoneleigh next weekend for some Q&A.

Thanks for the replies, very interesting. Judging by the eBayer's nickname, that must be Tom. I've actually lost the windscreen capping for my car, I hoped he'd be able to provide a new one.. I don't have £10k spare but if I did I'd definitely buy that lot and keep the sales going. I have plans to electrify mine eventually

Hi, I saw the sale and was wondering if there was going to be any new mods coming out but I guess not .

I would like to convert mine to electric as well but it looks too expensive at the moment.

I converted my mountain bike and that was about a grand so I guess the car would be at least ten times that to do it properly keeping the same level of power.

You'd want a lot more power for a car compared to a bike
