Default SVA or what?

On ebay there is a Magenta body & chassis, stripped. No v5 or plates. Since it could be built up using a single donor and original subframes( even if new) would it require SVA or shown as a body change on the original reg?

I can see where your coming from but if there is no identification then there is no V5 to obtain.

Unless you are able to identify the chassis VIN number and track the V5 that way you will need a IVA.

If you have no V5 you have no route to obtain the tax disk.

At 99p its worth the risk of having to pass an IVA, nice completed one in Black on currently as well.

Not sure the top mount of the front suspension is 'man enough' for the British pot hole.

No V5 ? Then you will have to be prepared to go though IVA, if you do buy it you might be able to reclaim the V5 , if it was registered , but not all kit cars were registered , a lot were bought and never completed, even if you do find the chassis number and with the ammount of ringing that has gone on, it might even have lost its registration
I'm currently building up a Dutton Melos that is in the same state, if you assume from the outset that you will have to go though IVA and do everything to meet what the manual sayes, then it can be done mechanically, its nothing different than what you would do any way, except things like fitting a tandem master cylinder instead of single and fitting a collapsible steering column with a uj at both ends , things that most of us would change anyway , Body work its mostly making sure everything is capped and that you have return edges on the bodywork
