Default Dtype

Hi

In 2015 I bought this Dtype from a gentleman, but because I am not skilled enough to carry out the work I handed it over to someone thats doing a fantastic job at it. It had a Jaguar 250 v8 engine, I bought a series 3 xj6 and transferred relevant parts over.

I am still struggling with uploading pictures on here but attached are pictures before and now.

Body prep and interior in progress...should be finished soon ready for summer in BRG. Just purchased a 1950 Jag xk120 roadster that needs full restoration from scratch so will like to get this out of the way.

Will upload more pictures soon.

The Daimler V8 is a lovely engine, it burbles away like a V8 should. I had the saloon and the only problem was that the gearbox wasn't geared high enough and it always felt that it was crying out to change up to a higher gear. All the saloons except a very few were automatics., should be great with a 5 speed or 4 speed with override manual gearbox.

I see the chassis and running gear is an SE5, I have a stalled G46 project on a SE5 chassis and can't bring that to completion and have been considering a "D" Type body, do you know who made the body for you car.
