Wel, after the test drive yesterday still a few things I'm not happy with.
Exhaust rattle? I believe it's the cover on the cat so I will remove that.
Also the tail pipe catches the body also an easy fix.
Headlight covers to attach , they've been on once so hopefully easy enough.
Biggest issue still is the bonnet, it is STILL sitting too high on the passenger side.
Will attack it with heat gun and attempt a re shape, other wise I will have to remove it and start again
I meeting Rich from nubodi at the Newbury show hopefully he can take a look and give me some wisdom.
Apart from that she drove fine

Heat and GRP, good bedfellows they do not make.
Opps I think I'm turning into Yoda.
If its still not fixed I will have a look at the Easter show.

Fingers crossed then

Well, it's not all bad news.
I've fixed the exhaust rattle thanks to an angle grinder .
When I removed the weights from the bonnet it did seem to have fixed the problem, but after my 20 min road test it had returned to its original position
Bugger.
Richard, it's over to you .

Love those big chunky retro looking wheels. No doubt you have stated earlier in the thread, but........could you tell me what size, offset etc they are. Really impressed with how they fill the rear arches. Have you lowered at all?

Hi . They are 7.5 by 16 and 9 by 16.
195 tyres on front and 245 at rear. Can't remember the offset but was more on the rear and I have 25mm rear spacers.
Also lowerd 30 mm with eibach springs and adjustable dampers.

And a before and after, the raw fibre glass tub at the rear of the car is how it all started.

I was talking to Chris earlier, he said you had popped in. And yes, we got talking about wheels and how well yours look! We were confirming shipping for my kit, courier picking it up on Tuesday, should be in Belfast on Friday. Time to start stripping!

Doing the hard top. Believe it or not building it for a mate. I was thinking of doing a Kobra, was showing a mate the website and he saw the 250 and fell in love with it. He asked me to build him one, which is a bit of a result really as I get to practice on his before doing my own. I am a mechanic by trade but never done a kit before .
