The Lucra started out as a "replica" of a 58 Lister Knobbly. It was designed and built by Chuck Beck of Porsche 550 Spyder fame. I'm pretty sure that Lucra took over the project. They have a new version with a different hood.
I built one of the first kits of this car from Beck. Nice looking. Very cramped cockpit and foot boxes. Used narrowed C4 Corvette suspension. The car was advertised as being under 1900lbs. I built as light as possible, even left out seats and mine came in at 2200lbs.

Hi John
Good to hear from you again, your knowledge is extensive. How is your MX5/Miata project going?

Hello Chris, It's been slow. I've only been able to work on it every few weeks or so. And, I've had a bunch of false starts as I've been zeroing in on the final details.
I decided to go with a dedicated frame. It combines a backbone with a space frame design. I wanted to be able to have functioning doors. That's the reason for the backbone. The frame is skinned with aluminum then the body will drop on. The wheelbase is 95 inches. Then I shortened the drive shaft and torque arm by 8 inches. This let me get 53% rear weight and get the engine lower as well.
I have the frame done. The first one I did with out doors and just skinned it with aluminum to make a little track car. The 2nd one has doors. I'm working on the body for that now. The body is a work in progress. The scoop will be changed along with wheel arches, fender arches, ect.
I wish that I had your photo shop skills!!!!!
I hope that you are having great success. John

Whilst i love your A352's and your work and progress rate is astounding, they definitely need bigger wheels/tyres or a bit of lowering!
Only my opinion, but there you are. Best of luck with the MOT of course, it'll fly through i bet.

We can all dream! is that a Ford Anglia on the right hand side? my first car a 1966 105E , the engine seized after the sump plug fell out , making me unpopular with the police as it happened on the Runcorn-Widnes bridge in the rush hour , Geoff .

Love the wheels on these two - are they banded steels or off the shelf?

They're standard TR6 15" steels. They only came in 4x4.5" (4x114.3mm) PCD so would require adapters to fit the Spitfire 4x3.75" (4x95.25mm) PCD hubs.

Patoune, how did you modify your Euro dummy chrome spinners? I bought the same set but am unhappy with the way they mount: too easily broken. Did you put an extra bolt/pin through yours to secure them better?
Thank you.

ah - thanks (I've seen them fitted to Scimitar GTEs). I was just looking at the possibility of fitting the 352 body to an SS1 chassis

Wheels
Hi scimjim, if you want to stay with standard Triumph wheels, you could go the route I have gone.
I used basic Triumph solid disc wheels, drilled out all the holes, and the finished product fills out the wheel arches and I think, looks quite presentable.
The biggest drawback is that theses wheels in 5.5J form are hard to find these days, I was lucky enough to have hoarded them for years!
Take look at the following pics.
