A darker red thats nearer the roof colour in my opinion ...darker , deeper reds always look a lot classier in my opinion ...

With that colour hood then gun metal grey would go well I reckon, else a dark blue.

Gunmetal with that roof would be a nice combination. Probably better than red on red.

I’m a big fan of the darker Ferrari reds, but not 100% sure how they would work with the red soft top?

However, I think the red soft top would work well with black.

Good luck, Paul.

PS
A dark gun metal grey does sound good too.

Old English White, perhaps? Would go well with the hood . . .

I think the darker above looks better than the light silver below

The dark red ads a touch of class ! The bright red can look good too if its done well like the Nubodi demo car.

Find a black soft top. Good for any color.

For my two new pennies worth, a red hood over a red car never quite looks right to me, whether it's an exact match or nowhere near.

I'd say that the only colours that can work with a red roof are silver, gunmetal, black or white/old English.

Avoid blue at all costs - there's a blue Audi A5 convertible with a red roof running around in my neighbourhood and it looks gopping.

Decisions, decisions...

I AGREE WITH TOWED ....I suggested dark red because you seem set on painting her 're-sale red' .... and a darker hue would be less chavvy looking ., in my opinion .... but if thats not written in stone , Id go for the gunmetal ...it will look far classier than the red with that roof .....

I have a similar Audi near me too Towed and an MX5 with the same combo ...it really doesn't work for me either .....

Are you dressing the car at all ? roundalls , stripes etc... If so , the red might be a better option ... it's difficult isn't it ..you need to make the car appeal to the widest audience possible ...

Same goes for the interior, a blue car with red interior only looks right on vintage stuff.
IMO go for a very dark red and you will be ok, but its up to you at the end of the day !

The darker you go, the straighter the body needs to be - having seen it at our local meet I'd stick with a similar colour to your coupe.

soz guys for some reason I am not getting reply's to the thread, I got the twin exhaust fitted sounds awesome then went fishing for a week so still no paint. Guy at the paint shop can not store it once painted I would not have been here to collect it so held off. Need to get it sorted and sold asap wife's giving me a ear bashing . I think the gunmetal silver works the best it did look good on the last one I did and will work with the red roof black interior combo
