Merry christmas to everyone, hopefully we will all get to work on our cars...
Here's a good short film to watch that I saw on Forgotten Fibreglass website forum that I look at from time to time.

Thanks for the link to the vid Gary. Not sure if the overtaking at the end was staged or real! Anyway good fun.
Re progressing our cars over Christmas, I have yet to hear anyone say, oooooh, I got so much done. In fact, quite the opposite!
Nice reflectors.....very fine mesh. Are those rear lights going on vertically or horizontally?

Evening Nick, I thought I was going to get 3days on car and go for a walk everyday! First walk today... Nice weather, back to work tomorrow. Lights will be vertical. I will be doing lots of cutting of body work all over. Wish I could make more progress. Blog started 2011.

Started to put some parts together, need more money to order brackets etc... from Canley, next week painting hallway to raise cash.
I quite like the look of the wheel with everything on, maybe spray trim ring to match rim.
This may look to Hot roddish!
Adjustable tie rods are finished, have ordered some heatshrink to cover joint when set up.
And wishbone/hub carrier made up.
on my rotoflex set up i need to fit shims, does anyone know how to measure the ones required?

Cor, that all looks good. I do like adjustable tie-rods. Are they home fabricated?

Can't help with the shim advice, I'm afraid, but those adjustable tie rods look like a bloody good idea. Did you make them yourself?

Morning everyone, not much to report apart from the fact that my budget for the year has been approved by the chancellor, so hopefully this will mean a rolling chassis by march...ish.

That's good news! That's my target too - to have it back on its wheels by the end of March. Let's see what we can do.

That's good news.
Did you find out how to shim the rotoflex?
Just sold the wheels off my donor. That has made it it more difficult for the wife to dispose of it whilst I am work!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
Will have to buy the hub adaptors now so I can move it when I am ready. I am waiting for Oxford to post a piccie of his wheels on.

No, not yet. I have seen the shims on the Canley website, i am surprised that anything on the Vitesse is made with any sort of tolerance!

You and me both! My kindly act of letting my MGF lugs be a GCSE project (I just needed them chamfered and shortened) has backfired. The school's lathe has gone OS and they are hunting for a part. I haven't got the heart to ask for them back, and there are plenty of other jobs (about 2,600 at the last count) that I can be getting on with. I just have to be patient. Pics will appear the moment the hubs and wheels are in place!
