Any Miglia fans going? Anybody know if Mike is running a stand there?

One of each. Also we will be offering Porsche 356 kits soon too. More on that later.

I'm assuming your car must be the Spit version .
I'll take a guess at the German project or maybe Tlrtones for the other one.
Just guessing though , theres only one person who can answer this properly !

Probably, maybe, depends on workload etc. Will it be an indoor stand? Can be a bit blowy at Stoneleigh. How many cars are going to be there?

Sammio traded outside their first year there and moved inside the following year.
It really is a gamble with the weather but it is a lot cheaper to trade outside and there are some good pitches right by the entrance usually up for grabs right up until the last minute.
Cost of being at these events is always a major factor as it needs to be recouped somehow over the year. Pitch , transport , accommadation etc can hit a small companies budgets quite hard.
It is a strong argument that its important to attend in some capacity though as there isn't many opportunities throughout the year to showcase your product.
So it could be said that the cost of not attending could be greater , if you see what I mean.

Sadly, mine won't be there. I caught up with Mike and he is still to finalise the, which is the key difference from the Herald base, so that needs to be right. But, I am anticipating some photos off Mike soon as he is putting some paint on the shell (only primer at this stage) which will make it look a lot more together.
I will try and post pics once I get them.
Otherwise, i shall be at Stoneleigh buying some parts I need, so will be a good day irrespective.

Marc - Not sure if you have been to Stoneleigh before, but just in case, most of the traders deal in cash only.
The good news is that there is a lot of great stuff available.
Cheers, Paul.

Stoneleigh is better than Aladdin's cave with the amount of things you can find for your build!

Yeah, been there before - it is quite a good show if the weather is nice (so much so that I will not go if it is raining). Notice it is getting expensive - which is a shame. The promoters need to realise that charging people too much just to go shopping can end up forcing them to close (I see a number of shows have cancelled recently).
But otherwise, moaning aside, looking forward to it. It was last year that I got into the scene again when I saw the "sort of" C type on a Spit chassis - and as I followed that up I became concerned with the quality/fit of the body (rather like another herald based body), which led me to Mike and his Miglia.

And just sorting out my shopping list - just spent a fair bit at bilt Hamber for some rust remover, degreaser, primer and 2 pk epoxy paint for components. Hope to get some fittings, fuel pipe, some polishing mops and compound and then see what else takes my fancy. Will have my eye out for some air filter trunking - want to draw air from the bonnet nose intpo the Spit airbox. Should be fun

Given the number of sub-forums all running a Stoneleigh thread it will be interesting to put some names to faces that weekend!
I'll certainly be having a chat with young Mike if he's there (in a nice way! sorry, that sounded a bit ominous! ) and a bit of a crawl over some of his cars as i want to get a feel for how different they are to my old Sammio.
Plus i learned from last time to take a big strong bag with me as Andy is spot on that there is just _so_ much stuff there that you didn't know you couldn't live without!
Although the last time i was there i also bought my Sammio, so i'll try and be a bit more reserved this time!

Well, I went on Sunday, and did not see any Miglias or Sammios - did I miss them all?
Thought the show was quite this year, and some gaps in the trade presence. Lots of Cobras and two companies making Lancia Stratos - amazing.
Picked up some more stainless goodies, and a new spanner set - AF is getting harder to find each year, and it was my treat to my new Miglia. Hope to catch up with Mike soon and move mine forward now.

My Spyder would've been there on the Monday but the rotor arm broke on Saturday. Shame as I was looking forward to the journey
