Default Getting started with my first kit car

I was looking at buying a second hand prebuilt kit car like a robin hood or something like that basically one that has the caterham 7 body.

Which are the best/cheapest to insure?
i dont want a hugely overpowered one just something thats really nice to drive currently i have a 1.5d 06 clio mk3 which isnt exactly quick or fun to drive but stupidly economical.

Will i get insured on one? (21 next week 3yrs no claims)
Any idea how much i would likely to pay on insurance and where are the cheeper places to get quotes from?
Im assuming i have to make sure the car has done a sva?
Are parts easy to get hold of?
Anything i should know about before buying one?

Thanks for the help

Hi, don't worry about insurance, it'll probably be half that of what you've got already (I would consider £300 expensive for a kit car)

Try AIB, Adrian Flux, A-Plan etc grab a kitcar mag and ring around.

About the other things I can't really comment on as I've never owned a 7 esque

Def. buy one that has been Iva/sva save you a whole heap of grief

Would you buy one already built needing a bit of tlc? Or one that is ready to go.

All depends on budget I suppose.....where are you based.?
