Had a bit of a WCA moment
Ok, so my mx250 has been sitting on my drive for few months untouched, a bit of sanding and filling left.
My drive is about 2 cars long and has a decent downhill slope, my wife's jag normally sits on the road in front of my drive.
Moved the jag somewhere else and went off in my Nissan Navara for a short trip.
10 minutes after I got back I heard a small thud.
The mx250 had run down the slope and into my Navara...
Questions
How lucky was I that it hadn't happened 10 minutes earlier? It would have been in my neighbours front garden at the very least.
How lucky that the Jag wasn't there? A few grands worth of damage..
How lucky was I that I had parked my pickup so the Mx250 just ran into the tyre? An inch either way and it would have hit the body or wheel.
And the mx250 .. kinked the front rh wheel arch and left some rubber on the front, simple fix. I think the god of " I left my handbrake off" must be laughing.

It's nice to hear a story that had the potential to be messy but that turned-out well. It's the reverse result of the more common and innocuous, "What's the worst that could happen" situation, which concludes with an out of control angle-grinder, the loss of a limb, and a large workshop fire.

Sorry to hear of your mishap!
I also have a sloping driveway, some years ago, I made several large wooden chocks, I think that's the answer
Landmannnnn. :-)

I like the way all Near Death Incidents are referred to a WCA Moments :-)
I have only had one axle stand collapse and no work shop fires since the electrified brake flexi on the other build I was doing
and when I dropped the angle grinder it cut through the power cables so switched itself off with no more damage than a slightly scarred anlke cast and that only happened because I was on crutches so couldn't run quickly enough

Snapping the foot off was while hurrying domestic chores so I could go buy a car, nothing to do with working on the car.
Just remembered that I had a couple of fire while cutting the body off the old Scimitar. In fact most of the 'fun' moments were on the Scimitar whilst I was learning about cars

Not car related, but I managed to take a big slice out of my arm a couple of weeks ago with an angle grinder, made me think of you guys as I was sat in A&E!
Let me know of you want to see some pics of my stitches...
