Default Post SVA Registration process

Can someone tell me what I have to do next? (Assuming the car passes the SVA re-inspection)

I have forms V627/1 (Built up vehicle inspection report), V627 (Vehicle inspection report) and V55/4 (application for first license)

I assume that I have to complete V627/1 and V55/4 and that the DVLA complete V627. Is that correct? Then what do I do with them? Do I take them both to the local DVLA office? (Looks like mine is Borham Wood)

If I take them rather than post them does it speed the process up?

Cheers

Robin

Not sure about time scales with regards to posting or doing it yourself. I thought the office route would be better as they could check all the forms before processing to make sure I didn't miss anything. As it was age related and not Q or new it took 5 or so days before I got the notice in the post after trailering the car to an inspection area in Newbury where they check the chassis number and engine number matched up.

I got the date for the number inspection straight away and the notification of the new numberplate in the post.

I posted my forms and then went for the inspection. It took about 3 weeeks from posting to getting my number plate authorisation and tax disc including organising a trailer for the inspection.

I followed the instructions in INF 26 and INF 148 along with the helpful(? )V355/5

Don't forget to copy your MAC as you don't get it back!

cheers

Peter

Just been through my copies of paperwork again this morning and realised that it is the V55/5 version of the form that you need.
I'm sending you a scaned copy of my completed form,

...Peter
