) I'd make my own car, but I'm fortunate in already owning a great handling chassis that I am simply rebodying. The windows are arguably the biggest problem / compromise
. I shall leave the w/screen in place, the B/C pillar window is from an A6, but finding a glass door window to fit will be impossible. I shall therefore be using the existing perspex windows and then cut / file them to shape. These dont pass SVA, but take them out and it shouldnt be a problem. Perspex does scratch easily
, and craze in stressed areas
, but apparently it's possible to remove the finer scratches using stuff normally available to caravaners (not tried it yet)
