I like your point below, btw - I've always preferred the sleeker look of the 289 to the 'methinks the gentleman doth protest too much' over macho-ness of the 427. To me all the bulbous flaring on the 427 is a bit like stuffing two pairs of football socks down your strides on a night out on the town. Size isn't everything.

All things considered, the Kobra does look pretty damn good and a bit of a bargain for the home builder on a budget.
