I know your car isn’t like an Aston, but does share some styling cues from cars of that era.
I was stuck on a long haul flight to Asia and found a black and white picture of an Aston and couldn’t help but play with it on my iPad during the flight.
Cars of this era and style sure look cool.
Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

Munky, thanks for these, interesting to see the cars in different colours. The Sage green is almost universal, but seeing the blue and gold is really interesting. The blue is quite similar to JagTVR's California 250 and more recently Geoff's new 250 coupe. It goes really well. Evanta had a demo car in silver, which looks cool also.

I hope to have an update soon.

Dark colours would work too such as midnight blue and the very dark racing greens used by Jaguar back in the day.

It might be because of the light exposure on some of the images I’ve been playing with, but once you get past a certain darkness in colour, the lines of the car seem to quickly disappear.

This is the third image I’ve tried with dark green and probably the best as far as not washing out all of the cars lines.

I could see this working

Thanks, that looks very nice. I will likely get the gelcoat in theRAL colour nearest to that so that it looks good until I get it painted.

They are lovely. Sadly it was too big of a project for Chris, so we went the "Z3gato" route.

There’s an Ant Ansted built DB4 Zegato on eBay at mo.

Total animal but a little surprised with some of the gapping at nearly 100k - maybe out of the mould with no prep?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DB-4-Zaga...66ff%7Ciid%3A1

Be interesting to see when and what it goes for - might sway Tribute over decision whether to go turn key or kit

How has it been registered as a "67" plate when it's using an engine that has been out of production for 30 years?

The advert said it was IVA'd in 2017, hence the current '67' plate.

It has been a while since I checked, but you used to be able to use 2 old parts in a new car and it was still classed as new for IVA.
( Think old V8 engines in old Cobra kits. )

Cheers, Paul.

It might be a close replica but I prefer the Tribute car by a mile.

The twin fuel fillers are a nice idea.
One on the Z3gato could be fake, meaning you don’t need to try to swap sides etc.

Default Filler caps

Munky, that is exactly what I am doing. The one on the LHS will be a dummy.

Default Jack

Jack, As you don't do Facebook, you will not have seen these. Here are the latest photos of the buck in 1st coat of HBP. Chris should have it back, painted from the paint shop next week. We will put more pics up then.

The car is looking really great Barber. Chris has pulled one out of the bag again !

The forward hinged bonnet is a new idea.

What's the plan with the rear number plate light ? The Lucas combined no plate light and reversing light was used on the "original" Zagato's on an extended plinth.

The convertible version is going to be a great car too, I've placed an order for one in advance !

There were several 60s models had a single reverse/no plate light a la Jaguar and AM. I am going for that.
