I think Ericholme put BMW alloys on his instead...

I think Ericholme put BMW alloys on his instead of wires and they did look good. Much easier to maintain too. I’m putting powder coated wires on mine for a mix of easy to clean and good looks.

So what we could do is turn the lock round so you can put the key in from the inside and set it in the door card rather than hiding it behind the new door skin

You have got me worried now. Is it an option to remove the lock and secure it on the inside of the door so that it accessible by removing the door card. I suppose though that doesn’t help if the roof...
