A few words of advice;

Go to Stoneliegh and talk with the kit supplier. Get an idea about likely costs and time scales to build etc....

It all depends, some plates have an obvious desirability from the beginning. Other private plates you see are really ambiguous and only appeal to the owner ie if its their initials.

If you swop out the PAS rack for a non PAS one you will be fine. You won't be gaining much really, the Z3 power steering is quite well weighted and most people are used to it these days.
