Looks like getting someone else to blast the parts will save you time in the long run.
Sorry can't help you with the paint question, but I'm wondering about the temperature outside myself.
I was also hoping someone would have answered this question too...

here.
So far, I'd say my light blue gel coat has faded a little, but not much.
And for a while the fibre glass was out in the open with no cover at all!
( The cover was on the rolling chassis and frame work. )
