Default e marked lights

hi,found some period lights for my speedster, reverse and a rear fog lamp, new, problem being they have no e marks on them, flicking through me mags and they seem to suggest ,it dosent matter as long as the lights are of the right brightness, which is down to the bulbs anyway, shall i go this route or just look for some e marked lamps, cheers guys

The SVA rule was (and I guess the IVA is the same) "lights should be e-marked or comparable" or something like that. The problem is, if they are not e-marked, it is down to the discretion of the tester.

Tester checked ALL my lights for E-marking at IVA (and windscreen and side windows).

I'd recommend fitting cheap e-marked lights for IVA, after all they can always fall off afterwards.
