I need to update the statement about not working outside , once the snow was cleared off the cover and the cover put on the fence to dry , then clearing the drive and putting some grit down , the sun was actually good to work in , although what was i thinking when i bought a house without a garage , Geoff .

Surprised this hasn't gone yet. The wire wheels now fitted are game changing to the image, and what with the dash and interior all done I'm struggling to understand why it's sticking, especially considering valuations and previously achieveds being banded round on here

I suspect 2 main reasons........ Too soon after Christmas, peeps haven't got available money. Sun isn't shining! People feel good about buying (or viewing) when the sun is shining.

Probably this, I have just bought a rusty 1963 Lambretta, and having followed prices for 15-18 months, knew I could get it for 20-30% less than the price before Christmas. Now, people are trying to offload projects because they need cash, and the ones that are not discounted are not selling, same as last year. People with kids always spend more than they can afford at Christmas, and those who don't or have kids that are grown up, are spending on holidays in the sun.

The car has been on the market for at least six months, possibly longer. Its all in the detail really and these are my observations so take it with a pinch of salt Geoff.
First the wire wheels do set it off better that's for sure. However the tyres look small in diameter, a higher profile tyre would fill the arches better.
The dash is a step in the right direction but the gauges look like they are at a laid back angle rather than being more upright.
The centre consol could do with a better fit and finish and the blue carpet won't be to every bodies taste. I'm not a fan of the wing mounted mirrors either.
I'd give the advertising a break and try again in the spring with a new audience. I'm not trying to criticise but just making a few observations that potential buyers might be thinking when they look at the photos.
Your asking price is in the right area imo and you should hold out for that.

I am by no means an expert but I think the price is great and leaves somebody room to give it some final touches to their liking.
Just my 2 cents.
I do have a question though:
What did you do with the duct work for the heater (I guess you don't have A/C). I can't see any vents with the new dashboard.
Thinking of building one myself but I live in the tropics and will need AC but I want the retro dashboard. Any help would be appreciated

Good afternoon Donerix , my car does have AC but as a personal preference i did not want vents on either side of the dash , they could be incorporated if reqd , the AC working through the vents onto the screen will keep the car cool and that was with the rear roof vent sealed , thanks Geoff .

Great news. This should make it a lot easier for me.
Good luck with the sale.
I would be all over this but the law here doesn't allow to import any cars older than 10 years. So I have to find one that is already in country and then do the work.

Well done Geoff. I look forward to seeing you personalise this one. The rear window makes such a big difference to the look of the car and even the door windows look more road than race.

Will you be going to Stoneleigh in this? I would love to see this up close in it's current state to get an idea of how they are put together.

Learn from the mistake of the yellow 250 on eBay. Keep it simple and subtle and you will appeal to many more buyers when you eventually come to sell it.
The side windows really improve the looks, I never liked the fact that the windscreen looked too high in relation to the side windows. Are the side windows glass or plastic?

Is that yellow one still on ebay? Can't seem to find it and would love to see what it would look like in yellow.
