Unfortunately (or fortunately!) my wife is a hairdresser and works from home. We were considering buying a Salon about 6 years ago, but with costs escalating and staffing issues, the decision we came to was to convert the utility room. But she out grew that very quickly and so now we have a proper salon in the house. This has pushed into the garage making my double garage into a single garage!
Being into motorbikes as well, that is now filled up with a motorbike ramp and workbench, pillar drill and tool boxes! So the tent outside is the only way to go for my Spyder build.
I certainly can't complain as I have a very nice office at the other end of the house and she is helping fund the Spyder build!
This is the salon now:
The weather has perked up now, so I will hopefully be painting the car in the tent on Sunday!
Good luck with your scoop btw! I look forward to the pictures!

What's the twist? I'm leaning towards a D24 style scoop with vertical sides myself...

Any update on the beaded edge to the wheel arches?
A bit or brake pipe bent to shape as a former and then bonded over?

It's an idea but how to you hold the bead in place before you bond into it. I have been looking for a bead with a flat coming off of it that could be popped riveted to the inside of the wheel arch and then bonemeal on the outside face, found it in a rubber extrusion but nothing in ali copper etc

I have been struggling to work that out. I hoped you had a solution.
I was thinking of carefully shaping the copper and holding it in place with a few bits of tape. Bonding it in a couple of places and then removing the tape and finishing the bonding.
Bear in mind i haven't got the body yet and I have never touched fibre glass, this suggestion could be stupid.

And if you're after the 'RAT' look, once you have finished bonding and spraying rub it back and let the copper patina show through.

one good thing I have found for holding stuff in place is a hot-melt glue gun. Couple of blobs of glue and then bond over the top!

And i thought this was a great pic. Maybe it could be made with a couple of G46s

We can but dream! but yes.
I love the extra driving light just like the "D" Types at Le Mans and the rear wing top scoop that could still be on with ours.
Weather looks good for the weekend so I will roll out the car and get some photos done to show progress so far.

Yes I cant tell a lie and I am sorry Lancelot this modification is not out of the Sammio gene pool (out of one less shallow) But I was concerned at the front end lifting at speed.
Bit of glass bit of filler the job's a gooden!
