Default Seatbelts

Hello all

Has anyone considered fitting intertia reel belts? Securon do a clubman style harness (Clubman 700) but with an inertia reel at the back - looks like it would fit the Sportster. They are on page 85 of the Europa catalogue.

From experience non-intertia seatbelts are a pain for normal road use when you have to release them if you just want to reach for anything in the car.

All feedback greatfully received!!!

Cheers

Robin

Grow longer arms

I think there will be more cabrio drivers out there using intertia reel belts, might be worth asking on the owners club forum

Robin, yes these look interesting. Where would you mount the retractor? On the back rail?

I looked at the Securon website but not very useful.

I wonder if anyone is going to Exeter show this weekend, they could ask Marlin if they know if anyone has tried these?

I wonder how long the rear strap is?

I think the retractor would fit on the back rail the same as the normal 3 point harness. The only problem I can see is if there is enough height for the retractor at that point as the tail sweeps down to go under the back rail quite quickly. I think I will wait until I have trial fitted the tail and see how much room there is before I splash out....
