Finally!!! Got the car out into daylight. I'm pretty pleased with it I have to say.
Still lots of bits to do but only a couple left which really matter before I can take it for an MOT.

Looks great Nick ... you don’t want to come and paint mine now do you :-)
Is that a front lip/splitter you’ve fitted - looks a different (better) profile than the standard front bumper ?

Swifty, bought one of these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F322314609966
Dead easy to fit although it didn't want to stick with just the gluey stuff so put a few tec screws through it for good measure.
Bring the car down, we'll have it sprayed in 3 days. There's a nice premier Inn just down the road
Wozzy, loads mate! Although not too much before the MOT hopefully. Just the rear fog light, reg lights+plates and rear wheel arches I think. Headlights will need aligning too so hoping for some time on my mates alignment thingy. Bit worried about the handbrake as I know they're notoriously crap on these.

Very nice fella, be very proud of what you have done up to now! Reminds me of old rally stages and sideways cars. Love it, this is going to well received on the road.....

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement folks!
Wozzy, Simoniz tough satin spray paint (rattle cans) and one of these https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F302801547282 to stop my finger aching. Actually made the job much easier and the paint gave a really good finish.

Not only looks great but similar to Ken Block’s real one which is his fave car.
Check out his Hoonigan feed on YouTube where he talks about it. If you have not seen it before that is..

The paint can triggers are very good, I always find that I get a build up of paint on the tip of my finger and then it will drip onto the surface that you have just painted. The trigger gizmo stops this from happening.

I find that my finger aches after ten minutes of spraying, much nicer to have a trigger.
Sorted the fuel flap out yesterday and glued down the hardtop with two tubes of sikaflex my hands now look like I may have caught the plague. Even with gloves on, the stuff goes everywhere!!!

Not yet no. I may do in the future just so I can put it on if I feel like it but I prefer the look of the car without.

Managed to get outside for the first time in what feels like months!! Tidied the garage, finished the mesh and fitted the reg plate.
Opinions please, chrome or black mesh? Obviously, if I go for black, there'll be no turning back.

Looking good Nick - think it would look best in black.
