Its black abs sheeting - but I've remodelled it using stainless steel sheeting instead. Must see if I can post a recent pic......

The burnt orange wasn't vibrant enough unless the sun was blazing down on it so went for a VERY metallic blue which really zings in the sun but still looks rich on dull days.

Just got it off eBay as a special mix. Think they called it Atlantic blue sparkle. They described it as having as much metallic content as they could get away with!

Found the paint thanks blueface. Sorry for so many questions but I think your Kobra is the best I've seen and I've seen lots of them in the last six months while researching for my build. What wheels and tyres do you have on the car? I promise last question today lol

Blimey. That is a popping blue ! Good work.
Earlier in the thread I see the wheels are Dotz Fast Sevens 17 inch diameter.
Looking good that Kobra. Must turn heads

Thanks guys for the compliments.
Yes, does fast sevens just with standard sized Z3 tyres. Must say I'm impressed with them as they've sat outside and not cleaned for months and yet the rim still shines up spot on!
Certainly turns heads. I've had it at quite a few shows now and it always gathers a crowd. Very usable car of xkurse. Use it all year round.

Hi Paul, yip, still driving away at it.
Had to check there as it's a long time since I bought them. Pretty sure they all came from SVC.
http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/l488-...--tail--pair-/. Good looking lights. Would use them again for sure.

Those flat style Lucas lights are very cool indeed. I’m going cheap as chips land rover lights. I like the more ‘bulbous’ nature of them.
No chrome surrounds though...

Lights
Hi DaveP
I have brought the full set of Landrover lights. These are ok on the Kobra are they? I was thinking they were only for the MX250. I've been a bit put off using them because of no chrome but if they are ok I think I will to stick with them...out of funds at present

Paul,
It’s your car you can put on what you like that’s my thinking anyway. I’m putting landie ones on and many have. If you not bothered by non-chrome they look ok.
If you take a look at my build thread on here you will see what they look like at an early stage.

Lights
Hi DaveP
I've decided the obvious and most sensible thing to do would be for me to stick to the landrover set like you because then any wiring diagrams you do will apply totally to my build as well

Paul,
If you have not purchased the kit and donor yet you have time to look at alternatives. But if you happy with the landie style then that’s a plan. As I said I’ll share my work freely with you and if the leads on the lights are all the same then jobs a good ‘un.
