Default new parts

If anyone is interested I have 2x front calipers, 2x front carriers, 2 x front discs and pads

2x rear calipers, 2x rear carriers, 2x rear discs and pads

all bought new from Marlin about a year ago they have been tried on my car apart from pads which have not even been opened but obviously never used as my car is incomplete!

They are all complete apart from some sliders

Hi Craig,

would you mind me asking why you are moving the parts on, are they spares you bought or have you found other brakes to run on the car, also wondering about the front and rear carriers, are they the standard ones from marlin?

Cheers Jon

Carriers are the standard mg ones supplied from marlin to accomodate 262mm front and 240mm discs rear

I am currently unsure about brakes but am talking to a company at the moment who if I send them my hubs they will weld new brackets to accomodate racing four pot brakes and 300mm discs maybe slightly bigger!

All this depends on cost though as the only reason I am considering it is for the looks!

Ive seen it in there before looks nice, must be close to finishing soon, if your running 16" then they will look good and will work well too as they will still have a nice sized air gap too cool. I like the Oz wheels but we are not sure which ones to pick yet, little way down on the list.

Cheers Jon

Chose oz cause I liked them but mainly for weight as there is not many alloys which are known for thier lightness!

Miles away from finishing mate enen though to look at the car now you would not think so.

I still have all the engine, ecu wiring to do along with numerous other jobs which are time consuming

Oz are good on that side of it but starting to look around now etc, I now the feeling, looks close but still miles away.

Still you will have fun with those wires, thats not a fun job at all, I can remember the months of wiring on my dad V8 Sportster, lots of headaches there.

I cheat and pay Marlin to do it, but we are on a time scale so a little bit different.
