Default Throttle cable length on BMW sportsters

My throttle cable from the donor seems about 5cm too short, has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions much appreciated.

I've just discovered mine is short by the same amount, probably because of bulge caused by pedal box. It will fit but very tight. How have you or anyone overcome this?
Alfie.

I bought an "extra long" generic one from www.nfauto.co.uk - It long enough for car with rear engine. I've not gotten around to fitting it yet.

Hey Alfie and others,

https://www.burtonpower.com/Default.aspx
do a three metre long throttle cable for £4.00 inc VAT. I've just got one and can't believe it only cost £4!
Part number: FSETLKCABLE
And it is bright blue!
I need to figure out how to fit the BMW throttle body end to the plain cable. I haven't put much thought into this yet. Another little job to do.

regards

Peter

Bargin! Wish I'd know about that one before spending nearly £30 on the CBS one!
