Default 206 Headlight Adjusters

I searched the 5exi forum but found nothing on Peugeot headlight adjusters so I thought I would share this one with you.

I have a set of 206 headlight, the electrical motorised adjuster has been removed. In the WhatKitCar yellow car build, Morton detailed how he had to manufactured an adjuster.

Armed with the detail that a scrappy supplied motor adjuster was a £10 each side, I set about looking for the bits to manufacture a simple adjuster.

On the Peugeot 205 I found the external (top) adjuster for its headlights and expected to be able to use the ball end through a threaded plate glued on to the back of the 206 unit.

Some times, not often... it just comes together.....

The 205 adjuster with its 3 position settings, fits into the back of the 206 locks in place with the same castelation lugs and holes and mates up to the socket joint inside. The adjustment clearly moves the reflector inside and I hope will position the beam in the right place.

I am stunned, a fix that needed no engineering. It just clipped in.

I can post a picture if you want but its so straight forward it needs almost no clarification.

Did you lot know about this? I am surprised its not been mentioned before.
