It'll get their in the end. With the mx5's windscreen at suck an angle I thought maybe the triumph tr6 roof would balance it out and also combine two looks hence the Italian lancia fulvia. Roof is available in fibreglass and will allow for good vision out the back and full use of the boot. In keeping with a 2
seater Italian themed concept. Or swb roof going into Alfa boot line. Still waiting on last of the panels to see how they sit and work with existing roof. Not many retro Alfa concepts to inspire so looked to other Italian icons of the 70's

I see what you mean about the roof being too long

I think you might have something with the Lancia Fulvia Coupe. Haven't checked the wheelbases, but I'm guessing that the MX5, Z3 or even SLK could donate their substructure for either a 'Tribute' to the original (right) or a modern revamp similar to the 2003 concept car (left) -

The thing with concepts is their a suggestion of what the future could be. But I'm looking to combine what already exists that works with the donor. Making it work for the 2seater arrangement of the mx5. Its not a 2+2 like some cars are made out to be.

I'm also not trying to make a replica, more of an Italian inspired 2 seater gt. I've got the side windows from the gt so can see how that works with what is their already . The fulvia from the windows down looks good butbi would go for a more sleeker roof line.

The Lancia Fulvia Concept is an interesting project. The mechanics and the chassis of the Fiat Barchetta, then we would already have a starting point.
The only problem is the front and rear lights, unique to this model.
If Chris builds a tribute Fulvia Concept Kit, I'm ready.
Regards from Italy.

If only someone had the mold of an entire roof and side and back window that would be awesome :-)

Nope didn't get that. My emails are up to date and if you sent it via private message it hasn't shown up yet. Thanks for the effort though.

That panel would make a big difference if had access to roof shape and rear top quarter.

Posted this in another thread, this website has a body shell for a Chevron B16 and a McLaren M1a available. I reckon the McLaren body might work on an MG TF.

how about an MX5 Alfa Giulietta Spider?
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider of the early 60s was a gorgeous design. Wheelbase within 15mm of an MX5 and width 100mm narrower - so would look more purposeful/butch. Windscreen in same position as MX5 but more upright. The MX5 windscreen, door glass and soft top could all work.

How about one of these:
from one of these:
Yes I know the proportions are not quite right (!) but to make a change from Z3s...

Rather nice, I didn't realise that Austin had ever built an A30 roadster.
