Surely it can't be a Xkss and a D Type ? I thought they were visually quite different ?

Jaguar had 16 D-Types left which weren't selling as racing cars, so they put windscreens on them, removed the cockpit divider, gave them soft tops, and advertised them as road cars. That GRP body has the divider, it can just be seen in one picture, so it could be built as either. Scottie built his A352 as an XKSS in this thread.

Reading the rotting frame tubes comments above, I'll be giving it a miss. Thanks guys .
