Default Rear Fog lights - would this work?

I am thinking of fitting a fog light into the gap where the high level brake light was fitted in the boot flap

I was thinking I could use thie Super Intelligent High Spec LED Stop Beam I found on eBay. It seems a bargain at £1.29 but will it be legal as a fog light and in that position?
According to evenrything I have read it should be okay but not sure about the LED brightness bit or if it needs a specific stamp oin the lens

Think under IVA (or C&U) regs you need either a fog light on the RHS, or a oair of foglights. Also is it too high? I know the car isn't subject to IVA, but it's worth aiming for that anyway. Certainly is subject to C&U

From : http://www.transportsfriend.org/road.../position.html

Motor vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1980 and trailers manufactured on or after 1 April 1980 must have rear fog lamps.
One rear fog lamp must be fitted (not more than two may be fitted):
at or near the rear of the vehicle;
on the vehicle centre line or on the offside if one lamp only is fitted;
not less than 250 millimetres or more than 1,000mm from the ground (2,100 millimetres for agricultural vehicles, engineering plant and motor tractors);
at least 100 millimetres from any stop lamp.

So if I put the fog light on the left of the grill and a reversing light on the right?

Just spent d=some time googling and re-reading this line

on the vehicle centre line or on the offside if one lamp only is fitted;

Originally I read that as meaning it had to be on the offside if one lamp only is fitted.

Now I am thinking it says it can also be on the centre line because it doesn't make sense to say it can be on the centre line if two lights are fitted.

I think this means I can stick the fog light in the centre of the gap with a mesh grill over it.

Reversing lights could be a pair of LEDs pointed at each end pointing slightly inwards. If I was clever and careful I could make the two lights focus on the same point when they were a set distance from a wall. That way when I reversed towards a wall I would start with two separate beams of light and as I got closer to the wall the cetre of each beam would move closer together. When they converged I would know I had reversed back far enough.

Happy days

Hmm, yes, didn't Gibson call his dog Trigger? I'm sure it was something like that...

Such innocent times.

Dam busters! I new I could have thought up something like that on my own. I have watched the film but I don't remember them reversing the planes against lulls in the book...

Dog called trigger huh? Was is a dog of a certain colour?

Gives me a thought for renaming my car to please the police though -

Izit Cossi Black

The first bit looks a bit Italian and the car will have black wheels.

How ridiculous to suggest that the dam busters used led lights!

They had not been invented then!

And by the way. Wing Commander Gibson had a white labrador called "mugger"

You're probably right. Best not to get started on Agatha Christie's book titles, either, especially those involving woodpiles...

While we are doing cliches

Of course Mr Towed treats minorities like that, he is a policeman!*

*this is DEFINITELY said in jest and in no way suggests Mr Towed or any other policemen are prejudiced in any way

Scottie22, I can not believe you did this, it is offensive and against the culture of this site, it puts your personality and mentality on show, you have only embaresed yourself, continue to photoshop members cars in this way will result in a request to get you removed. I can say that things of late have included items of a humerous nature (Think it started with the gas masks) but fellers lets keep it frendly.
