Back to the wheels...
Anyone seen or used trims like these?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-15-CHR...-/380379834550
I thought I could get the wheels powder coated plain black and clip the rim trim on to brighten things up.

A "Freudian slip" is when you are at a dinner party with your wife, and intend to say"pass the salt dear" but instead say,
" You ruined my life you f***ing bitch"
It just kinda slips out.....

The car is delivered to the paint shop and suddenly my garage looks very empty - except for all the bits I took off the car prior to paint.
Nothing to do now but wait...

Colin was kind enough to drop me home after I delivered the car and I almost changed my mind back from Black to Barchetta Rossa...

Having written a few descriptions for significant cars in the past, I'm pretty good at deciphering what they mean:
"Although fairly tractable for road use, this 450S is of impeccable breeding and deserves to be unleashed on a closed circuit or wide open roads, where it’s potential can be fully exploited. This car was conceived for Works champions by the likes of Fangio, Moss, and Behra."
This translates as: The 450's reputation is well deserved. It's a F*****G animal. Driven on the road by a multi millionaire duffer, it WILL bite you. Hard.
:-)

520bhp and drum brakes all round :-)
This is the car that Moss crashed out of the 56 Mille Miglia due to brake failure. Should be a bit cheaper than the expected $7M as it's a Cat C write off!
Would like nice on the drive next to the Z300 though

Perhaps it could be stripped down and rebuilt with a BMW Z3 windscreen, hood, doors, shiny plastic interior, front and rear wings and modern alloys fitted.
Then DVLA could take 'king ages to register it as a Maserati Z3 weedy 1.9 replica...
