WCA - I like your coffee shop story, it made me smile too.
The interior does look good.
Cheers, Paul.

Haven't checked this thread for ages but the car's looking great!
Can't believe you're seriously thinking of 350/400 BHP in a standard Z3 though?
"No need for major suspension changes"???
The chassis and suspension are on the edge with the 2.8 @ 190 and needed major mods (and preferably a full roof) to take the 3.2 M engine @ 320 BHP?

Big engine option has gone out the window unfortunately. Apparently it is now complete. Wife is happy with it which is good. It feels a bit strange driving it without half the interior missing but does look really good I think.

I knelt on one lens cover and broke it. Can't be arsed to get new ones and I like the look without them

Color silver
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your simulation! It looks great in silver, although mine is more sparkling silver but it gives a good idea.
I would like to start my car next year (because I go on retirerement next year)
Free al last
Best regards,
Walter

That's exact colour i would like mine. With the dish on the wheels to be matching. Burgundy/maroon mirrors and wheel lip.

Thanks!
To be honest I am not too fussed by other peoples views and comments but it definitely looks better in the pic you posted than the early ones I did.

No worries.... Just thought I'd hopefully change his mind .... Wonder if he still thinks it looks like a kit car

WCA and redratbike, its all a bit like the bloke on piston heads, who came out with this blinder
"I just can't see the point of a replica, or a copy, its never going to be the real thing, so what is the point?"
Don't worry WCA, as long as you are happy with your car, that's all that counts.
I was once sat in my 7 type car, and a bloke walked by and said "oh no! not ANOTHER 7 replica"
So I said well. yes, but its a rather nice one, or do you prefer your rusty cortina?

Replica = £5,000 to £10,000
Original = £5,000,000 to £10,000,000
I think that's the point.

Plus I deliberately designed mine NOT to be a replica. It takes influences from lots of different cars to make something that looks from that period.
I have been to a few car shows and meetings and it is so interesting hearing people discussing what they think it is. I keep a laminated sheet explaining about it for those who are interested.
It is really pleasing hearing the general reaction which is overwhelmingly positive. It is also amusing watching people trying to discretely tap the panels to see if it is metal or glass, especially when they do it to the doors which are still metal.

Nice cover feature of a Nubodi's Z300S build.
And WCA's car gets a nod too.

And the pics imply that WCA's Z300S is one of "theirs".
I will be interested to compare the quality of the respective paint finishes at Stoneleigh.
