Tribute Automotive Owners Club.
After insuring my MX250 with Adrian Flux they have asked me for an Owners Club confirmation.
So I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a Tribute Automotive Owners Club?
Would anyone be interested or would anyone like the job of setting it up?

The idea has crossed my mind a few times. The simplest way is via web site but that is completely beyond my capabilities. If any has the appropriate coding skills, or can use some of this wonderful front end software that's kicking about I'd be up for joining a club.

I dont mind tackling the website, I made a 1 for when I had my Del Boy van...
http://www.hiredelboysvan.com
Its not the best but it uses a 'word press' builder so easy enough to build.
The domain www.TributeAutomotiveOwnersClub.com is available to buy at £9.99. If a few think its a good idea (including tribute) I can go ahead and make a go on it?!
It should help Chris and Dan sell more kits aswell

I think it is a good idea.
It adds legitimacy to the cars and allows greater leverage when negotiating discounts.
I have set up the Southampton Bike Park which required a bank account, committee etc so have some experience. There need to be three main people ideally - Chairman/President, Treasurer, Sectretary. You can combine the secratary role with either of the others but the Chairman/President should not also be the treasurer.
Chairman - Responsible for organising the club, deciding what events should happen, negotiating member benefits etc. Getting money in. Proposing what to spend money on.
Treasurer - Keep track of all money and assets. Collecting the money and controlling the distribution. Preventing the Chairman buying themselves a luxury yacht etc.
Secretary - Recording what has been agreed. Breaking up fights between Chairman and Treasurer. General admin - news letters, renewal remionders etc
I am happy to take part but would rather not be the treasurer as I don't care enough about money to take proper care of it.
I have PM'd you with my contact details and first thoughts

Just a point guys, i have started a couple of clubs including the current Tiger Owners Club, for that we accepted donations for the running of the web site via paypal so no bank account required and i just did a word document that i could quickly fill in with an owners personal and vehicle details so i could produce a "proof of membership" documents should it be required by insurers etc, which it rarely was. No need to make it more difficult than it needs to be, did look at setting up a bank account but needed minutes, meetings, etc, etc, life's too short!

What would people want from a club?
2-3 Tribute events a year in different parts of the country
1 near Tribute HQ
1 oop norf
Any one want another anywhere?
Calendar of other events people are planning on attending so we can meet up or avoid each other at other peoples events.
Register of cars and members - see the other thread and please add your detail
Short articles about people, their cars, interesting anecdotes etc sent n from the members.
Tribute branded tat, i mean merchandise such as pint glasses, key rings, bottle openers, tool rolls etc
Please suggest more. If it ever happens we might as well make it what you want it to be instead of just our best guesses

If we are looking for an event up North on mid-summer's evening they have a classic car show in Beverley and there were 450 cars there last year. Might be an idea for those who aren't too far away or anyone who fancies a trip to see the delights of East Yorkshire.

How about my local pub as a possible destination?
My wife run's a T-shirt / Hoody printing bussiness, if anyone wants Tribute Owners Club Clothing merchandise.... That will get me back in her good books!

Hello everyone, sorry for late reply, have been a little busy this week.
I have no problem with anyone setting up an owners club, I just don't have the time to have much input myself, but I would need to approve some of the more important items that involve the Tribute name.
T Shirts, stickers, badges etc, all good ideas. Events, down South and Up North also good. I think the first BBQ was a great success for a first event with a relatively new product,
I am flattered that people think enough of our kits to want to set up this kind of thing
