Tis true though. Builds can be tiring as it takes patience and lots of research to get it right. If your someone like me that needs to really focus to get the best results and sometimes things like eating and drinking at regular intervals eg lunch, dinner get missed.

Finding parts that fit and do the job are tricky at times specially all you get is a picture to go by and rough measurements. On that subject i do have some wheels i'd like to sell if anyone interested. The ones in my build they've never bin used on the road just tested for fitment on one side. Oz ego's in 15/6.5 inch I've decided to go for some rota's in 16. Come with tyres, bolts and ready to bolt on to a mk1 mx5

I've always reckoned that about 50% of kit cars get completed by the original purchaser. May even be lower than that. The mechanical bits are just giant, dirty Meccano (tm) but the rest is mental fortitude- a test of character I've always thought and not necessarily one of bank balance, at least when it comes to true enthusiasts.

Agree about it being mental fortitude.

Complete the car. Show it at the show. Enjoy it for a week.

Some dozy cow smashes the back end up.

Hopefully pick it up Wednesday, sand it down and back to the paintshop
