Default Heater fouling pedals

Tried to fit the heater today in the postion marked out in the bulk head. It fouls the brake pedals, also the bolt that goes throught the pedal box fouls as well. Anyone else had this, if so what was the solution.

Hi mate.

I did not have this problem on mine at all. But I had my pedal's re done by Marlin due to the steering column. But I knew Ian had the same problem as you. He has tried moving the heater over. He is toying with the idea on fitting a Mini heater now.

Not had that problem.
The issue is usually that the other side of the heater protrudes into the side panels...so a bit of fettling is required to get the side panel to fit ok.
Take a picture of the heater assembly...can you post it on here?
Have you joined the two separate sections together as per marlin pictures (manual)...?

John

I had the same issue - the end of the thread for the clutch pivot hit the side of the heater box. I didn't dwell on it for long, as I have since cut off the clutch pedal to make way for a hydraulic setup. I was surprised to note the clash though. I mentioned it quickly to Mark, when at Stoneleigh, and he looked at me as if I had 2 heads! He asked if the heater was in the correct place, and I'm certain it is. I'd estimate that to fit the pedals I would have needed to shift the heater box approx 15mm to the left, which even though I'm using an aluminium plate to join the fan to the heater box, would push the fan unit quite a distance proud of the chassis.
