Default uprating rear brakes

Hi. I have a 1968 triumph vitesse chassis, and want to uprate the rear brakes, bigger drums etc to increase braking.also a dual master cylinder, can anyone offer suggestions what parts and where to source the parts.

Not at all sure of the relative differences but I have successfuly fitted MGF disc brakes to both a Marina and Dolomite Sprint axle.

I would have thought the stumbling block for changing the drums is the brake backplate that carries all the braking load and supports the pistons, handbrake mechanism etc etc.

You should not alter the rear brakes without making similar upgrades to the front. About 60% of the braking effort is needed on the front, with larger rear brakes, you will need to fit a balance valve that may simply reduce the braking effort back down to the original levels.
