Yes you need the weights, the braking efficiency is calculated on the weight. The weight must be the actual weight they read on their equipment or greater or it will fail. There is a calculation formulae in the IVA manual and relates to front axle and rear axle weights and weight distribution based on driver seating. Best idea is visit a weight machine TrackDevelopments have one and know the formulae used by the inspectors.

2 vehicle make and model,im building a banham porsche speedster, using rover 114 floorpan chassis and all that running gear, do i put its a rover 114, or a porsche speedster banham,

What you put on the form is what you want on the V5, so its Manufacturer is 'Bantam' and the Model is 'porsche speedster' in my book. Unless you want is called a Rover!

3im using the same warning lamp for both my handbrake light and also the fluid low warning, is this ok for the iva

Not sure on this one I have seen it talked over in other threads, my belief is its ok but please check. The IVA test centre are normally very helpful and will answer any questions you have if you call them, make it in the afternoon as they test in the mornings.

Worked for me - my fluid and handbrake used the same light, and I had no problems at IVA with it.
