Shallow sump mods
The Mazda sump has been cut down to about 25mm using a combination of slitting saw on the mill and an air body saw.
When I'm happy with the engine position, I'll get busy with the CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) and design a new deep section.
The modified pickup is underway.
Never throw anything away, the tubing came from someone's abandoned camping table!

I'm sure you live in parallel universe to me. Just getting my car to go a big enough challenge!

Just don't forget to include some means to eject the reactor core if the dilithium crystals come into contact with any dark matter during the transition to warp speed...

I am deeply impressed with the stuff you do, even if I don't totally understand most of it.
My achievement yesterday was working out why my drill wasn't working very well - I found it was switched to reverse. I guess we are on different levels...

I look forward to the day that we all meet up and MoriniMan appears from nowhere leaving a trail of burning tyre marks.

Drills have reverse? Is that for filling holes?

It was in screwdriver mode too. I bought it because I thought it would be useful to unscrew things when I have screwed up.

I used the 'hammer' facility on mine yesterday...quite effective but now all the casing is smashed........
And I am assuming they call them drill bits , because when I am finished leaning with all my might on a blunt drill until it glows to get a hole , its usually in two bits.......

Gary - You want to use my wife's 'multi tool'.
It used to be my wood chisel but now is a screwdriver, paint stirrer, lever, hammer, paint scraper ....

Shallow Sump Mods should use Vespa and Lambretta components.
