225 Sport like this, on an MX5
Wheelbase okay., MX% a bit wider though. Coupe!
Think TR-4 windscreen and Karmann Ghia rear glass, sliding windows like the SWB.

Sammio front end too.

Some peple have too much money.
While others are making the humble MR2 look like a lambo
These guys are making their lambo look like the batmobile from the latest computer game
In full carbon fibre and the details are all there this must cost a fortune.

What could work on a mk3 mr2.ideas? I did see a lambo kit made on it with optional windscreen. But they don't seem to be at any of the shows so never know whether to trust sites like that. Maybe lotus exige shell. Panels are around 3k as original not sure what the difference in dimensions would be. Maybe a stretched lancia stratos more leg room and wipers that don't come off at high speed like the one on top gear

I have my suspicions that Clarkson started out to prove his preconceived notion that anything built with spanners by a man in a shed would be useless. The wiper coming off was probably a setup, and if you stand on the brakes while cornering in a short-wheelbase car it's not going to stop in a straight line.
Funnily enough, when Hammond and May tested a real Stratos they loved it, even though it's acknowledged as being one of the most difficult cars to drive on the road, in the world...

People have made Ferrari reps from it and panels that bolt on like the z3 . I was just thinking of finding panels from a car that exists and shortening them to fit. Spose its finding a crashed ferrari/porsche with panels that are going cheap. Standard they don't really inspire but with a new shell would look quite awesome. Plus no bonding if it just bolts using the original bolt points. Also looked at the lotus m100 but some might say it wrong to change the shape . Always reminded me of a lambo. Not sure why. Minus the pop up lights and tailights

Posted this photo on the new Sammio Spyder thread "next door" and thought I'd add it to this thread too.

I would love this front end. An S2 Cobra front bumper from Japan.
There doesn't appear to be a UK importer. There is a US one who will ship to the UK. Overall cost would be around £1000.

Here's a thought. Mix an Alfa Romeo 105 coupe with an Alfa Romeo Montréal. What do you get

Looking at the seat design, it takes bigger balls to be a driver than it does to be the navigator
