Default wing mirrors?

I have been looking through the gallery and most of the mirrors seem to be of the same design, are these marlin or from somewhere else??

I am ready to fit some and was wondering what people have bought?

I think I can disregard marlin ones as I would not get them in time for my sva in march! If they are marlin type does anyone know where they can be bought from

Cheers
Craig

Hi Craig.

How quick do you need them Craig? I'm in the process of looking around at the moment for replacements.

Mine were only cheap from Marlin about £25. I got mine purley because the mirrors I had, I did not think they would pass the SVA due to them not folding back when hit from the front. Also the repeater would not have passed.

I know the SVA guys vary. But the SVA guy said that if the mirrors were hit, does not matter what mirrors you have, the body would probably give first and he would have passed them!

Another concern I have. The holes to mount them. I'm looking at Merc style mirrors and hoping they have the same hole pattern for fixing. I've decided against my mirrors I bought but the hole mountings are the same as Marlins.

Just for reference.

The mirrors I bought are :

http://www.nfauto.co.uk/mirror1.htm. The carbon ones with led indicators.

The ones I'm looking at are:

The standard Marlin ones are motorbike ones, from what I recall of the packaging. Sadly I binned my packaging ages ago so can't tell you what bike they're from.

I am not in a hurry don't need them until next year but aware that I would probably not get marlin ones until march/april if I ordered now....

I will have to have a nosy about I think

Craig

Steve, I got my 2 sisters to pose in front of my car but you can't really make the car out very well as it's a bit dark

Hi Craig.

I'll take some today. Marlin usually have them in stock.

But once I have got mine sorted, you can borrow mine. I was planning on using them as a spare.

Hi, has everyone mounted their wing mirrors the bodywork ?

I notice that the Javin uses the roll bar the windscreen is attached to.

I dont actually like the ones used by Marlin as they look a little cheap,

Below is the ones I have bought ill get a picture tonight, they look good i think, and they did pass the SVA as my dad has these on his Sportster.

We made the holes on mine the behind the bodywork, used a length of metal spacer to spread the load on the body.

Craig. Let me know when you need them.
