In the manual it shows a piece of meteal being let in for the the arm linking the wiper motor to the wiper arm, can anyone tell me how long that should be.

Steve, I was told that it is the standard control arm but shortened and re-crimped back on and that the length was determined after conecting the wiper to power and in the park position!

I am sure someone else will clarify

Hi Steve.

I see a great little idea from bigrich.

He cut the wiper arm rivnutted two rivnuts into the cut sections. Then used a threaded rod with two locknuts. That way it could be adjusted as needed.

cheers

John

thanks Guys, I dod not mean to mislead you, I am talking about the link that bolts onto the motor via the splined sprocket, and it about 2.5 inches long. I understand that needs altering, or has that now changed.

On mine (factory built), the link attached to the motor is approx 7.5cm overall with the pivots approx 5.5cm apart. It gives a full sweep of the screen.
