Finally started putting the G-46 back together at last
It is now sat on my ramps under a sheet and when ever people ask what under it I have great plesure in pulling off the sheet and watching the look on their faces change.
The photo does't do it justice, you have to be stood in front of this to get the "feel of it".
It's just awsome

Does anyone know here can I get decal made up? I have asked Andy but no reply.

Hi Mike, We spoke just the other day! I'm just waiting for you to send the cream vinyl and it will be sorted. I can do the racing numbers and if you send dimensions, I can cut the stripe too as long as you send enough material.

Got the front grill fitted, it was one from Andy @ RIBBLE.
It looks solid but it does have small holes and it's just right for one of Andy's new RIBBLE logo's

Finally found and fitted the new/recycled rear lights.
This turn-out to be quite a job, it's the old story of the "Sammio difference"
I could not get a smooth and even line off the rear end so it was just a "Sammio gest-u-ment"

R/H side

L/H side

After much chopping of the new expensive paint work I end up with this

A closer look shows the old light holes covered with a bit of stainless steel mess into which I put the LED reversing lights

From the profile can you tell.
A, where GJ might have got some inspiration and B, what car the light units came from?
Just need the chrome bumper and decals now

My next problem is how to fix the boot lid

Micky I do like the rear lights the extra grills. It will certainly keep people guessing.

I am going for something similar with the slimmer sunbeam tiger units.

Micky - Your G-46 is coming together very nicely.

I'll be interested to see how you sort the boot lid out.

Good luck, Paul.

Looking very nice Mike. Vinyl has arrived after a trip around the estate and I'll get those numbers sorted to put the finishing touches on.

Nice car

I am having trouble fitting the boot lid
As there are no flat even surfaces to fit a hinge, I am only left with a "lift-off" option.
I know as the boot will only hold the spare and a few tools this should not be a problem but I am not sold on the idea.
Anybody have a differant opinions or idea of fitting the boot lid ?

I plan to use BMW E36 and E46 bonnet hinges. For my bonnet and boot. You just need to fix/mould vertical edges on the inside. The hinges are good because they have large fixing surfaces and they lift upwards before tilting, so they avoid curves.

Many thanks oxford1360

Andy at Ribble HQ, cut me some decals and I just could'nt wait to try them for size and colour.
So although I should have waited untill later I fitted them over the weekend.

Mike at Miglia thought "off white" would be a good colour for the decals but I was only able to get this darker shade.
All-in all I think it's spot-on, so many thanks to Andy for the decals and a mention to Mike for the colour idea

Now that is a pretty looking car (Direct quote from Andyp85 which I thoroughly agree with).

I'm certain Gaz will have something to say about it too
