Default headlights / headlamps covers

Hi

I am thinking of adapting some front lights from bmw mini or vw lupo, but replacing the existing glass and covering them with a new shaped (to my car body shape) perspex type.

Unlike old lights where the front glass was the "lens" and had bs or E markings etc, these newer ones seem to be internally shaped etc and the glass doesn't do anything other than seal the light and make it look good...

or am I missing something? i guess these lights have their E marking on the body rather than glass

Will it pass the IVA after?

Dee
