Default Anyone know late Z3 steering wiring airbag and horn?

Just stuck the aftermarket wheel on but need to know what pins/colours are airbag (for resistor to fool SRS) and horn connections.

I've seen the guide on here but mine seems to be a later dual stage airbag wheel - that's the stock connector in the picture

the wiring is coming off the original slip ring which mounts on the boss (so self cancelling indicators still in tact)

If you take the centre console apart a bit you should see the airbag controller which you can remove. This stops the warning light.

From memory the horn wiring is separate from the airbag wiring. There is one wire to the back of a sprung plate and one to the front. When you compress the plate they touch and your horn sounds

I am afraid I can't help with the wiring options.

Hi,

I have the same wiring as you as mine is a 2002. I had to search around on the Z3 forums, most of them are relative to the older style wiring, but there was a good one a found with easy step throughs for a late model such as ours. Unfortunately this was one of the first things I tackled whilst waiting for my kit to arrive and was nearly 1 year ago, memory is not that good, but I ended up buying off ebay some resistors and inline connectors, which are connected under the panel under the wiper stalk. Also had to buy a reset device to get rid of warning light that plugs into the engine bay diagnostic connector reset it.

Sorry cant be much more help than that.
