Almost ready for 2010
Hi All
Spent all day at TD yesterday having my annual set up ready for all ther track days and events in 2010. Up to now my car has always been higher on the off side to get the corner weights right allowing for most of the weight (me and the engine) being on that side. After long discussions with Dave G about erradicating this I now have a slightly longer 350lb spring in the offside rear corner and the car now looks perfect. This means that I now have 350lb springs on the front and in the OSR corner and a 300lb spring on the NSR corner. I will be taxed and on the road from 1st May so I will let you know how I get on with this set up. I have a shake down test at Keevil on the 10th May.
The ony jobs left to do now are replacing the cat (existing one rattly) and a good polish ready for the year. Next week I will have the decals applied ready for the GOME event with John Dry (A Lack of Speed) on 21st May. Due to a lack of entries both cars in the team now have to do 240 laps each in 6 hours so much more track time for us and our co-drivers.
We will let you know how we get on.
