Default Rover V8's to Renault Boxes?

As i'm getting near to the ned of my Locost Build, i've got the car building bug big time, so i'm looking towards my next build.

I have been looking at building a high performance mid engined car this time (something that i can have some fun driving and my girlfriend wont mind me using in winter so it needs a roof, a windscreen and a heater).

Also i've just reached the age where i can afford to insure something with a bigger engine.

So i've been looking towards something like a GT40 or a Lamborghini replica.

I have heard that the best gearbox to use with a Rover V8 in a mid-engined car is a Renault gearbox. But i don't know which kind of box to use, how easy they are to get, if you need to do any alterations to it to make it fit.

It is in my nature to find out every tiny bit of info i would need about something like this, so i was wondering if anyone on hear could help me out again with any tips or infomation about it. I got such wonderful advice about fitting my 1600 crossflow to a type 9 box the last time i posted on hear, it really made things so much eaiser for my locost build.

Cheers, i hope that all of you in kitcar land had a good christmas and a very happy new year.

Dom
