Based on the price quoted by MBM, the stainless boosters could be an extra £75 including Import tax, etc. - (if there are 6 takers).

It struck me that they may offer chrome at a price closer to the zinc, so I am waiting for them to come back and advise their best price.

Already expressed my interest but if you want confirmation. please count me in for the zinc servo plus adaptor plate plus clevis pin.

Didn't build mine so unsure what needs doing regarding the adaptor plate.
All I know is that its an existing metro servo like most of you.
Will have to dive down and get my head near the pedals one day soon to see the lay of the land.

I'm getting the feeling that there won't be enough orders for stainless, either - so Patrick and I will have to fall back to plated to ensure we get an even number of orders (as they come in packs of 6)

At the risk of over complicating a simple process - I do like satisfied customers - I have now received confirmed additional costs from MBM as follows:

Zinc - expected cost £75
Powder coat Black : + £10
Chrome : + £25
Stainless : +£75

Jason/Patrick would you be happy to go with Chrome? I would quite like to go Chrome - can we get 3 more takers?
If not I would go for powder coat.

Subject to MBM confirming the technical spec. of their unit is as per the one Jason has tested I will order a batch on Monday 28th.

After Mike kindly measuring up in his Cabrio and me comparing my Sierra servo's position against pics of the M50 as fitted in Mike's car I think I might be wise to go for the 7" dual unit.

I like the look of the chromed one but do MBM make these in the US or is this the Taiwanese chrome that Duksville advised steering away from (as noted earlier in this thread)?

I've been pointed at http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/inde...&id=3&Itemid=9 and see that MBM do make their own products. Happy to commit to chrome then , with a stainless adapter plate (master cylinder fixing hole positions TBC). A clevis fixing won't go amiss either.

Thanks for the commitment to Chrome - I believe that takes us up to 5 now. I'll therefore order 6 and hope to persuade someone to take the final unit - Jeremy has yet to make a final commitment - hint, hint!!!

I'll order 6 chrome and 12 Zinc boosters on Monday.
Stuart - I have not forgotten your preference for a powder coated black one: no promises, but watch this space

Would anyone like to buy a nearly new Dual 7" zinc booster - tested only once by Jason!

PM me if you, or someone you know, would like to buy it at a reduced cost when we get the new delivery.

Two boosters sounds better than one, but it just won't look good alongside a nice shiny chrome one!
